CX 500 bobbery thingy

It's different and not too many custom CX500 builds .
But as a former courier on one ,I like it and nostalgia is a wonderful thing.

At least whoever did the job left the stock subframe - unlike the assclown that butchered the one I bought with my dad to work on as a project!

Just spotted something, what is that yoke in front of the seat?, designed to denut you in an accident id say, put there by the designers wife as retribution for all the money he spent on it?

Re: CX 500 bobbery thingy

Custom/ cafe racer builders dispense with the front mudguard . Why ?

I don't think it makes them look wrong and must create a mess of the front of the engine / radiator at least.

Surely a small mudguard would tidy the look up ?

not sure about rear one, but mate got front one recently, think its a fairly common shape across a couple of different bikes from that era

Re: CX 500 bobbery thingy

That is God awful looking!
Too much of one colour, looks like a polished turd.

Every cunt with a beard these days thinks they can be a bike designer!
Original is best with sensible performance or braking upgrades.

Everything else is sacrilege.

Stupid question. All that matters is; do ya enjoy racking up endless miles on its clicks?

But since ya asked; dat white white on de pipes ruins its aesthetic appeal and for gods sake do summit about that front wheel, ordinary household gutters even.
