Re: Norton. bloody mess

I was reading on Twitter that McPint was promised at parade laps for the people that had forked but big deposits on bikes. He knew nothing about it.

What a con, its like John Delorian all over but with bikes.

He certainly is.

I would be would asking who their accountant is and who audited their accounts as well.

I find it hard to believe that Stuart Tiller was oblivious to all that was going on around him. If you run a business, the only way to survive and you first priority, is to keep a close eye on your accounts.

Maybe he was totally lax here, or may be the accounts they were showing him were doctored from day one. If they were doctored then the company accountant and auditor are likely to loose their license as well at the very least, more likely to be sharing a cell with Garner.

Just shows though how gullible and naive Stuart tiller was. Once he got a inkling that something was wrong he should have called for a complete and independent audit along with all records from the Companies office.

Too many gifted and talented people have been shafted over the years, yet it keeps on happening because they are too interested in the work and not at all interested in the finance side of things.

Yeah, he'll probably do 18 months and come out to a nice little nest egg of tens of £££millions of people's pensions that he's hidden in the Cayman islands.

Holy fuck, that's the journalist version of a car crash video, you know it won't end well, but you keep watching from between your fingers as you're morbidly curious.

Stuart Garner - The asset-stripping cunt.

Sold the 961 engine rights in january this year to Chinese engine manufacturer, Jinlang

https://www.visordown.com/news/gener...oing-under?amp

And managed to fleece creditors to the tune of near £30Million before shutting shop.

https://www.rideapart.com/articles/4...wed-creditors/

I don't care about the banks but people had their pensions tied up in Norton, and they won't see a penny of it.

https://www.theguardian.com/business...nsions-hearing

A pound to a pinch of shit he does less time than that Forsey fella, if he does any time at all.

Yer right Gixer, I reckon the cunt will walk! The great british bull dog my arse!

See Hickman is still planning to race a Norton twin this year. I know its a mix and match of parts but I think it is bad form flying the Norton flag/promoting a non-existant brand.

Re: Norton. bloody mess

Confirmed yesterday that TVS have bought Norton for £16 million. Be interesting to see if they stick to low production high end stuff, or produce bikes that normal people can afford.
Details here (MCN) . Those all chrome bikes in the article are puke.

Re: Norton. bloody mess

Norton don't know what they want to be. Only so much Retro cafe racer you can do. In the 50s, 60s and 70s Norton used to produce everyday bikes for anyone, not just wannabe mod posers. Imagine if they could revive the bikes that carried the Wankel with some modern R&D and a different engine to the engine that every other maker is using.
Be different. Or be the same. If you are going to be the same as everyone else you have to be better.

Mazda have been really struggling to get the wankel oil burning down to meet emissions. Any new norton incarnation would be mad spending to try and do something a big outfit cant.
You’d feel for Mr spondon too. Name ruined and robbed of his retirement.
