Parking in Dublin airport

Don't know if this question has been asked before but I was wondering if there's free bike parking in the airport I seen a old post on boards.ie but that was years ago and it might have changed since then. Just got a job up there part time and starting next week didn't think to ask when I was up there i'd get the bus but I can't afford to be paying the fares every week besides my head would be wrecked waiting on buses all the time .

There is free bike parking in the short term car park. Don't forget to bring your lock.

There does be quite a few bikes parked up in T1 carpark allright, over in the corners close to the padestrian exit out to the Terminal 1 Building.Seems well secure and loads of cameras on that area too.And its bone dry too,as its an enclosed carpark.

Re: Parking in Dublin airport

Used it recently. Its free.

You park in the multi storey but in places not accessible to other users. You will see them as you enter, just follow the routes around and you will see quite a few bikes parked where they do not obstruct the parking spaces.

Important not to obstruct but you will be fine.

Decent size panniers and top box and you can leave all the bike gear too.

And watch out for the little mini tractors that go around collecting up the luggage trolleys.

Them boys can fairly move on them little tractors, and you wouldnt see them until it was too late.

Take a ticket on the way in......ride around the barrier on way out, the barrier is shorter on the exit.

Re: Parking in Dublin airport

parked at the airport, no hassles. Seems secure ( as it can be ) and as far as i know security do what they can to keep an eye , i did call the DAA in advance.

when i came back , some plank parked his bike on sidestand on top of mine - lying into mine, was a fucking ball ache to get mine out. Next time i wont be as careful moving it out - sometimes bikers are worse than cagers ffs

but id park there again for sure. great for a short trip, in / out.

So moral of the story, out of all the hassle that could be associated with parking a bike at the airport, a fellow "biker" caused issues Swell

Terminal 1 one can be full of bikes for sure. It takes a real godshite to park his/her bike on yours the way he/she did

Terminal 2 is much better....just park in the rental return area beside the elevators
