still be weary ,listen to what youve already heard
just a little heads up for ya dude fox s motor factors (beside st mels/dole offfice) does silkoline chain lube ,oil and ngk spark plugs at way better prices than da other fella eg silkoline chain lube 9e in foxes 12.50 in the other place
around 4 euro for a plug that the other fella sells for 12.50 ,tis a big saving when buyin 4 plugs

Re: Good Deals, Bad Deals And Bargain Buys Thread

Stumbled across this on DD

http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/motorbikes/4012120

Now apart from being clean (and rather well equipped, has pretty much everything incl. ESA) the price is... ambitious.
See its a 2012 alright, but its a BOG STANDARD '12 with cast rims.
You can, with a bit of haggling, get a R1200GS Rally the special edition for 2012. And the Rally apart from being new when you buy it for that price (and potentially less) and having a full warranty, looks beautiful (not only by 1200GS standards).
I've seen a 30th anniversary edition sitting on a shop floor in south Dublin not long ago, with a bit of haggling that'd be about the price as this, incl. luggage.

Now panniers.
See that the bike has the mounting points on the subframe, they come usually with the bike when you order luggage. I assume(!) that the panniers that came with the bike were sold off seperately. Buying a set of Varios will set you back another 6-800 yoyos, less if you buy used.

So thats one cheeky and expensive ad. Most likely cause the tradein that he'd get when buying the new watercooled model isn't to his liking.

For anyone looking for a headstock front paddock stand
55 euros delivered to my door last week and top quality
The only fault with it was the union jack looking up at me after I assembled it , easily sorted and filed in the appropriate place

Helmet deal

Wasn't sure where to post it so admin feel free to kick it in to the right place;

Nexx X.D1 at Louis for 129.00 Euro, thought that was a good deal for a decent helmet. The .ie site only has XS listed but the German site had more sizes. Shipping was only 6.99

Re: Good Deals, Bad Deals And Bargain Buys Thread

xlmoto have discounts of up to 75% on their own brand (A9) bike shine, decal cleaners, engine parts cleaners etc.
The shipping cost takes the good out of it unless its a larger order, but might be useful to some.

Cheapest I've found WD40 for, 5 litres, you get a spray bottle and a handy 50ml spray sample of fast release penetrant. Problem is shipping so I sent it by parcel wizard and it only cost me 3.80e. The total delivered to my door was just under 30 euros. https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Genuine-Wd40...72.m2749.l2649

This site might be worth a look. Big warehouse in Barcelona, when I was there it was busy ALL THE TIME! Cheaper stuff, told they get all the stock from liquidating companies.

Re: Good Deals, Bad Deals And Bargain Buys Thread

I have it and it's legit, I used to get it from a local factors and it was about 40e ex vat, I use it for everything from penetrant to cutting lubricant so the spray cans were a bit wasteful, they are still useful however for really blasting something or getting hard to reach areas as you don't get the same pressure out of the squeeze bottle. The bottle they come with isn't great it usually leaks around the nozzle but any windolene bottle will do once cleaned out etc.

It's still a good deal if you choose the international shipping but you will save yourself a few quid if you choose the free U.K. delivery and use a post forwarding service.

Never dealt with them but never heard anything good, quite the opposite in fact.
If you're buying a mx bike, get a 2 stroke, that way when you blow up the engine you won't have to re-mortgage the house to pay for it
