Day 4 of Europe trip

Sipping a few beers in hotel as I type this.
Got to Cherbourg Sunday morning at 10.30am. Rode over to ypres, Belgium. All B roads, so bout 7 hrs in saddle. Nothing spectacular. France is France.
Left ypres at 8am yesterday and headed south for Luxemburg. Belgium is more boring than France. Didn't see 1 biker on my trip through Belgium. Stayed in a hostel, cheap and cheerful. Sunday & Monday were very cold. 4-9 deg. Heated grips worked.
Started off this morning at 6.45am. Nice roads down to Stuttgart. Again, all my journey is on B roads. Much more interesting than France & Belgium.
Petrol in France, I paid 1.70 LTR.
Belgium 1.40. Luxemburg 1.28. Germany it's 1.45.
Heading on down to Salzburg tomorrow and then onto Czech, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy, Liechtenstein, back into Germany and France before return ferry on 17th.

Enjoying it. Beats bloody work.😀

Left Stuttgart this morning at 7am. It was raining & rush hour traffic. I hate rain & heavy traffic, especially keeping an eye on Sat nav. Took bout 40 mins to clear city. Rain stopped too at this stage. Rode some fab roads through forests, hills villages.
Stopped every hour or so for smoke/coffee. Even though I have no foreign language, a smile & nod will always get u what u need.

When getting near Austria, you are just tipping along through back roads/villages and then, all of a sudden, these big fuck off mountains appear from nowhere. It's like someone painted them in the background. Unreal scenery or pussy😀
Got to my cheap & cheerful b&b. Headed out for grub and few pints.
Off to Prague tomorrow. Only 350km but 6 hrs riding according to nav.
Laters😀

Re: Day 4 of Europe trip

Austria is stunning, stay away from switzerland , the cops over there make up shit like they started to do do here - avoid. We had a run in with a total cnut in Switz last yr and we done jack shit, he couldnt even substantiate what he was claiming and wanted to impound the bikes. It was that bad, we left the following morning. Kip.

Stay around germany / austrian border, you;ll have a blast.

Was around Austria/Germany border last week in a cage, near Bad Tolz/Eng and never seen so many bikers on the road when there isn't any race/show on. Lovely roads and the weather was great too.
