Default CB500 first time biker

Hello all,
New to all this craic so bear with me. So im 20 years old, and looking to start on an A2 license. Ive ridden mx bikes all my life, and have a mad notion to start on a CB500X/CBR500r. Ive done a lot of research, and i feel theyd be more than adaquate for my daily motorway commute to work, without having to wring the neck out of it, and of course theyre a2 license friendly.
However, im biased, and so would like others opinions, and also, i seem to be having a hard time getting insurance quotes.. as i said complete noob to the world of road bikes so any help appreciated

Perfect bike for the job.
Sit on both and see how you get on but I reckon the cb500x is the better commuter, its got a taller seating position so you have a better veiw over traffic.

The cbr500 is better looking but less practical commuting imo.

Best of luck getting on the road.

Same age as you man, on the A2, I got myself an ER5, insurance is 726 for me with Carole and Nash, be persistent. I hear Honda's are buletproof, so you can't go wrong with the CB500. Look up a guy called Schaaf on YouTube and he'll show you what you can do even with a CB500 if you learn well😂 Good luck mate
