Default Vrt on 2 year old import

I just picked up a bike on NI plates, I have v5 but the guy I bought it from never put his own name on it, the notification of permanent export part, however, has been filled out and it's dated Sept 2016, my question for those in the know 'does this matter when I go to change bike over to Irish reg? ( appointment booked for next week)
Cheers

I'd lose the permanent export part and get a bill of sale from somewhere up north in the last 30 day's you need a bill of sale and a ship ticket if it came in from mainland UK but only bill is of sale from northern Ireland

Do you mean cancel the appointment I have for during the week and drive away til September? Is that do-able legally I mean or am I opening myself up to possible grief with the law?

Sorry to hijack OP - But, what if the seller has already filled in and returned the Permanent export part? Do they do a check on this with DVLA? Asking for a friend.!

tbh, i know its no help but personally id avoid this kinda hassle and either bring one in myself or buy one thats already registered, see a lot of ads in recent times for stuff on english plates thats been here for a while. id be a bit paranoid about getting lamped for tax.

The VRT lads don't really give a fuck about bikes, I cleared a Fireblade recently, cost me 130, lad beside me bringing in a German cage, costing him 6,000+.
