Very nice job on what looks like a very nice vice. Well worth doing.

Id love to give this restoration stuff a go at some point. By the sounds of it, I missed the chance to pick up a load of scrap to restore up in Leopardstown lol

Re: Restoring an old vice - video.

Fabulous job on the vice but he went for a full and complete resto, if it was me and i wanted a good working vice id have just beat it with a mallet until it started moving lol.

All jokes aside, some job, i would have maybe stripped it, cleaned it and oiled it, maybe a shot of the nearest tin of paint to hand but no way would i have yer mans patience to go as far as he went.

Dear Gawd. My Granda used to love doing things like that and I thought he was a right old duffer. I think I've nearly turned into him

When one door closes, just open it again, that's how doors work!
