Which zaust

Chaps and chapett's,
I need to replace the exhaust on my tenere 660
But looking on Ebay I can only see the end piece.
I'm looking for advice on what brand for not at akra
Prices. Also can't seem to find the full system. I'd like
The option to replace it in full possibly in the future
But for now the dual end piece is all I(and neighbours) need.
Nice 1 folks. Over to you

Re: Which zaust

You could go over to the NEC in 2 weeks time and strike a deal for a full system with the likes of Pro Race,Austin Racing or Pipe Werx.

Or ask Vinny Loughran in Kildare to build you a full system.

He's doing a full custom system (45mm headers into 50mm links and 2 race cans) for my Varadero 1000 at the moment.
Tis gonna be loud......

Re: Which zaust

You could go for a 2 into 1 system too - get rid of one end can (& weight) & use the space for a tool holder

I like the symmetrical look of duel pipes. I reckon new pipes connected to the old pipe will bug me. So wanna make sure I can get from manifold back in future. Just in case, cheers man

Ah, right. I wish you'd put the Z in the OP. It would have saved a lot of wasted time.

'tenere 660' would imply the Z model, as neither the R or X use the name Tenere

Yes sorry bout that. The tenere is the z model, different pipe configuration. Its savage craic to throw around. Sounds bonkers now with the hole in the pipe. It was loud before with baffles removed but holy jaysis its mental altogether

Sweet fuck all from just a can swap I'd say.

I'd one on the SV650 (with stock pipes) from the time i got it and I reckon the sound it made sold the bike for what I was looking for it!

Re: Which zaust

I got the black widow exhausts in the end. They only sell the cans and 2 into 1 section but the figment is spot on. Nice note too from it. I'd recommend them lads. Thanks all for the feed back

Had a full Black Window system on my MT09 and it was a lovely sound, great quality overall I'd say and 1/4 of the price of an akrapovic or similar.

They delivered in 48hrs too... so definitely keep it as an option, surely you can find videos on the tubes to give you an idea of the sound.
