The 04 zx10 is widely accepted as being quite lairy, a little flighty and an overall widow maker

Having owned 1 I would agree but having owned an SD1290 the zx10 was a sports tourer by comparison

Effortless wheelies
Cool as fuck styling
A note that would split ears from 100 mile
Quite capable tourer too having been to Europe on mine.

Iv sold 3 bikes none of which were test rode, and got my full asking price, I told each of them when I was paid in full if they were not happy within the first week they were welcome to a refund. One of which was Christy from ccs unlimited in kells.

Iv bought 2 ktm supermotos both of which I was not allowed test ride, did they have anything to hide? No

I’m not going to leave joe soap off down the road on a 190+hp bike I paid almost 20k for.

So I’m not asking for any business advice so jog on and start your crap elsewhere.

It's a 190hp death machine so you better be careful just looking at it. Still haven't anwered my question. If someone were to offer 12900 would you tell them to put on the glasses and read the ad again? Making sure that they see that you accept not a cent less.

As you say. I'm certain you sell many bikes with that attitude.

Ignore the thick cunt. Wouldn't waste the electronic ink on him.

I've a 2016 1290R Special Edition.
Delighted with it, as everyone has said before, it is a great bike, lots of character and very much a fun bike to ride without having to go crazy speeds. I haven't gone on a spin yet where I wasn't grinning like a lunatic and scaring the fuck out of myself at the same time. I will say that I've had one rather large and a couple of fairly small 'issues'.

That RR is absolutely beautiful and VERY well priced, don't take a penny less than 13K. On my list of bikes to own some day. GLWS

Bellend is right.

I'm torn between the special edition or maybe going for a 2017 model but all this talk of having to go to ktm to get track package seems a pain in the ass, i'v a soft spot for both, sat on the new SD in the rds last weekend, couldnt get over how comfy it felt.

Cheers hopefully it will shift before start of summer.

I'm starting to look seriously at a '16 or '17 SDGT 1290.......I reckon with a set of bar risers there isn't any distance you couldn't cover on one.

You speak the truth!!
Went from Germany through the Balkans last year.Big mileage days on all types of roads were no problem and a lot of fun.You need to put the bar risers/bar backs on in order to fit a set of handguards which make a big difference....and a bigger screen.

I’m at 21000km on the original stuff and don’t hang about. Probably have done multiple hundreds of shit wheelies too. A good set will last.
