I never met the lad but I think I'm gonna go over to Kilcock and make up the numbers for his last ride to Newlands Cross.

Did you make it?

First funeral I've been to where they have used the sidecar horse.
Coffin was unbelieveable too. Really flash, just the way he would have liked
it. Miserable day for a bike but fair play to anyone that biked it.

I went over to Kilcock on the bike alright, parked up at the T junction with the Summerhill Road and waited for the procession to pass by and pay my respects. It's also the first time I witnessed the sidecar horse..............it was very touching to see the turn out he got, given the conditions.
I didn't join the ride as I never met the poor lad and it didn't feel like the right thing to do for me.
I had a brief chat with one of his buddy's who was helping with the marshalling and I got the sense that he was loved and will be sorely missed.

RIP Stephen.
