Do you mean a different brand of pinlock insert ? My rpha 10 came with an original pinlock insert , didn't think that any others worked with the pins , hence the pinlock brand name , i never could get mine to seat properly

The included insert wasn't a Pinlock brand it was some type of other brand insert but not from Pinlock. It was a pressed piece of plastic that allowed water in between the visor and insert and fogged up pretty much immediately. The one I purchased was a Pinlock brand and had a silicon seal applied to it and sealed properly, now it also fogged up but not quite as much as the other one. The pins on the visor are a cam type I think so you might need to rotate them in order to apply more or less pressure across the insert or at least that's how it works on mine.

The one that comes with the HJC helmets now is not a genuine's some copy.

Do yourself a favour and buy a Pinlock Max 120 for your's the top-spec Pinlock.

Safer to buy a cheaper lid. You're more likely to replace it after the inevitable hard drop!
