Decided to chance becoming flotsome and ran the guantlet to the busstop pounded by rain and sea spray. Trusty Dublin Bus brought us back to town.

There's 2 county yards not a million miles from me. And both yards have grit lorries pulling out of them during low temp weather. One yard has a steam power washer and the other just has a hose pipe. The lads driving the lorries noticed that the lorries getting the back of the power hosed after a nights work with the steam cleaner were falling apart....the mudguard brackets were dissolving....the lights were all falling apart(bulb holders)....all that stuff was just falling apart. The lorries that were been hosed down were fine. They put it down to the power washer driving the salt into places under pressure. Maybe the hot water was the cause..or both pressure and hot water. Goes to show you can do harm when you think your doing good.
