I spotted a XIAOMI Redmi Note 6 on amazon uk earlier today at 159 gbp so look around.
You didn't mention if you are bill pay or pay as you go, depending on your monthly spend etc... A bill pay option could get you a right top end phone for not to much over current budget, 24 months contracts sucks though

The 085 garage number is sim only month by month business deal and my own 087 number is the same provider and 18 months into a 24 month contract. Feck them 24 month contracts not doing that again if I can help it they're a disaster!

The Huawei hold strong money Cha because they're well established over here whereas the less well known brands like Xaoimi you'll get at decent discounts. Actually that Honor 10 one I was looking at is made by Huawei

What annoys me with the 24 month contract thing is that I like to upgrade once a year on my main phone and the lower priced contracts (average 40 quid) make the phones nearly as expensive as just buying them straight over the counter, I've been stuck with 60 quid a month plan for a few years as I use quite a bit of US calling but it also means that I can practically sell the phone a year later for what I paid for it and then put that money towards next one at full whack price, I usually wait until 3 months after release date when prices fall a bit so the hit doesn't feel to bad

I bought the Mi8, because it's the absolute bollox. It's the same processor as the Galaxy S9 but... This was mine on Antutu benchmark.

I know there's fuck all difference between the top few phones but this thing runs rings around them all, and it's 1/4 the price of an iPhone.

What I like about it most, and what that benchmark doesn't show is the camera. It's the bollox! You can download a port of of the Google Pixel camera app, and it's way better than the stock camera app. The pictures are amazing. DXO mark ranked the camera best out of the lot, including the newest iPhone.

You can get an Mi8 for between 300 and 350 yoyos now. I got the 256 Gig version.

If you're gonna buy one from the place above, PM me and I'll tell you how to save a few yoyos.

if its a rugged phone then a blackview BV8000 or for a really big battery the BV10000

mates had a bv8000 for ages and ive the 10000 max about €220

the battery on mine lasts 4 days normal usage (11000Ah) and i can say its the best phone ive ever had
i use it for some grafix heavy games and it plays any of them with no lag or stutter and cameras a good one as well

Forgot about the Pocophone, that one really got serious good reviews and was quite possibly the best value for money phone you could get when it was launched (when talking high spec phones)
There's plenty other good brands we never really hear about here, it's all Samsung and iPhone and now also Huawei but they have gotten as expensive nearly as the two others

I'm more confused than ever lol, there's a serious selection there lads in all fairness and all great phones. Goggle eyed from reading reviews i am! I think I've narrowed it down to the Mi8 on Gixxers recommendations, I'll get an armored case straight away for it. The Blackview and Ulefone S6 were in there too, as well as the Pocofone and Honor 10. Had a peek at the Oppo S15 Pro too but tbh you really couldnt go far wrong with any of them!
I'm a bit reluctant buying form Gearbest with the possible import duties, that eGlobal Central site looks OK though with EU shipping? Any other links appreciated lads and thanks!!!!!

Gearbest is a nightmare if you have warranty or customer service issues plus they can take 6-8 weeks unless you're lucky they have stock in a European warehouse, only ever happened to me once though and I did manage to get 50% of purchase price back in points to use for shopping.
I don't think you will regret the MI8, haven't used it personally but it is a higher spec version than the Redmi Note 5 I had for a few days and that one seriously impressed me.
Using Samsung Galaxy Note 8 myself in comparison.
I also found XIAOMI's UI quite intuitive

Thats why I'm shying away from Gearbest, takes forever for delivery, there be a Mi10 out by the time the Mi8 arrives...

Aliexpress have an EU warehouse but its a bit confusing to see where its actually coming from. I stuck an offer on a new one (6gb/128) on ebay.uk for 300 alright well ago.

I got a Red Mi Note 6 on Gixxers recommendation. Super phone with great features. The only reason I didn't get the 8 was price and the likelihood of breaking it in the garage. You won't regret it.
