Sure IRL Inc... operates that way..BUT only when its in their favour

Fuck sake....another thread turned into Garda bashing.....
Cop the fuck on guys(excuse the pun)
The cop that nailed that guy for no tax is only doin his fuckin job and its not his fault that some people dont bother their holes to tax their vehicles
70 odd....its not a lot to pay for peace of mind now is it. Some might say it was extreme to impound the bike but I think that even the fact that we are all now aware that this has happened might just change even a few of our attitudes and get us to cough up the few bob every year......and for fuck sake lads leave the Gardai alone.....its their job and if you were in it you would have to do the same

Re: Should have taxed the bike! Fuck!

well I for one lost all respect for the sweeney, over the head of one badge grabbin bitch of a banguard, got a day in court over some aul prick with a limp reporting me for a passing out manouvre that he seemed the need to hit the brakes and make a scene outa.Further more it was on a broken line. nearly six months passed and i heard nothing till two weeks ago, a gypsy of a registered letter!! being taken up by a guard for dangerous driving while she had nothing to do with the thing at all, never took the statement but decided to make a deal of it in what looks like to score a few browny points or to top up that quota thing they have where they have to nail a certain amount of people before a certain time.Well whatever the deal is she has just notched up a score for the "fuckin pigs" side in me.Next time I see the bitch ill go past her like mattie griffin. over and out!

jaysus richie.... will we stop bashing the insurance company threads, the VRT complaint threads, the pothole and diesel spill threads. (solo & tom over the plugs.....great fucking thread)

ah bollox lets close the board then.

its called freedom of expression..(thank fuck.) and like it or not those in a position of power or control are obliged to understand the extent of their actions when applied to their own group. Same as us.

i'll tell ya that fucking island is gonna end up fuuuuuuckkkkkkked to high heaven if people dont end up taking back thieir own control or rights.Ireland was never known as a nation of sheep...but i am starting to hear the "bleats" from here. Take a look over the water to see where ya will end up.

pay yer bills if ya want...dont if ya dont....but though shit if the rules catch ya out. Look in the mirror to blame. HOWEVER......it does not remove those who really fucking LOVE to fuck people over badly when they are caught.
As some one else says on this board..."bad karma's a bitch"

Re: Should have taxed the bike! Fuck!

Dave_S, you took a chance and got caught - worse things happen. Pay the monies, get it back. (Get the fuzz to sign the form declaring it 'off road' and get a few bob off )

I know too many guys who routinely ride uninsured and don't get caught due to the absence of checkpoints in rural Ireland. Dublin rozzers can check a few hundred 'vehikkles' in an hour by picking any of the main roads in the city - set up a checkpoint on the N84 though and die of boredom.

It won't be long before our deeply financially screwed govt looks for more ways to get at your savings and figures that unless you declare a bike as being 'off the road' you have to tax it (same as the UK SORN system).

Not mind the bike tax = our country loses 76.

Not mind the banks and developers = our country loses up to 90,000,000.000.

Guards lifting untaxed bikes might be "only following orders" but are they the right orders?
