I made it round and didnít finish last (just) well happy with that, done nearly 2 laps with no rear brakes, some sketchy down hill sections

Iíd say that was well sketchy, itís bad enough with brakes !

Just wondering what the idea is of open face helmets. with all the rocks would a full face not make sense? Always wondered that

At a guess, I'd say the open face lid gives you better visibility, no chin guard to obstruct vision, which you need to spot where you are going to place the front wheel etc
