Slightly off original topic... I had NDM rebuild a set of ZX10r forks as I was told the upper busing was recessed in the outer tube. Pretty tough to get at without the right tools AFAIK.
So after making the tools to do a fork rebuild they were pretty mush useless to me
Is this a common design for USD forks or is the upper bushing usually on the inner tube?

It’s on a few fork designs alright...they’re a little awkward but not the worst.

manlys will do the hard chroming for you but you will need to leave the stripped fork into them .

Thanks Chopper. I'm not really set up to take the forks off myself. Do you know of a garage that could do the whole job for me, rechrome with Manlys and seals?

Ended up being 240, that's both fork seals, dust seals, sundries ,fork oil, and both pads on the front .

One of my stancions was badly pitted, the guy done a brilliant job of lightly sanding them down aswel.
