ke 100 keys
I've a ke100 I'm putting back together. The ignition barrel and seat lock key has vanished to the netherworld. I took the ignition barrel and seat lock to a lock smith and he couldn't do much for me (I was hoping he'd have some mechanism he could stick in in order to read what kind of key is required). So besides buying a new lock and ignition barrel, do I have any other options I can try in order to make a new key?
Note: I briefly tried to remove the barrel from the plastic ignition housing but I was concerned I'd break it. Tried to upload a pic (Not much to see really) but site shit the bed when I tried.

Re: ke 100 keys
is there any sort of number stamped on the lock/barrel. If there was, you might have some luck trying Kawasaki spares

failing that, I wouild've expected a decent locksmith to be able to get a pattern off it, try a couple of them

Re: ke 100 keys
As ya have framed it, you have no keys whatsoever. Real question is do ya have anything worth saving from the old set of locks. If ya had two or three of five, I'd understand. Otherwise ya might look to fleabay, there is a dutch site (forgot address) worth a gander.

Ya could note of that era some of the kawasaki bikes (ke. kh. ar) had parts in common, shop carefully there though.

As above. Cunneens on Popes Quay made up a key for me from scratch. Saddle lock. Had the bike with me and he made it up while I waited. :smileee:

Re: ke 100 keys
FYI. The lock doctor in Limerick sorted me out. 2 keys for 35. Considering they had to file the keys by hand I was very happy with this. Cheers
