Ideas for the long weekend?

Last saturday I went out for a long spin. I got to Roundwood and saw the icy slush on the road, the snow, truck, excavators, etc, Less than 10 minutes later I was done of the crappy road to Ashford and turned back.

The idea of doing Wales or the NC500 is out. I imagine any pass in Ireland is going to be like Roundwood.

Any ideas of where to go for some solid riding hours during the long weekend? I'd hate to waste it in front of the screen!

If by some miracle its not pissing rain or snowing this weekend, take a look at the following.
Take n2 out to Slane and onto Ardee. N52 to Kells (drop into ccs unlimited maybe) then on to Naaavan and either back roads or motorway back to Dubland. Good flowing roads and usually quieter than wicklow.
R130 to Garristown is a great 5 mile stretch usually with very little traffic on it. Head straight onto ardcath then turn towards Stamullen..

Looks like long range forecast is for a trip to the offy and the fuel merchants and stare at a tv - wish I could get my hands on this 'Twice upon a Caravan'....from 1933 about a 1932 trip around the world on a Douglas!

I'm booked on the track day too and I'll be spitting if they cancel. When in people's experience do they make the decision if it's going to be fucking snowing?

Get a cheap ferry ticket over to France... Wouldn’t be amazing? 😎 I second county Meath too, but weather looks goofy, so might be just a short spin.

Probably flute around Wicklow/Wexford if the roads aren't icy.
