Sheared Kickstarter shaft
 
Hi all just wondering if the kick start shaft in the pic can be removed without splitting the crank case .I think there was a small old crack on the shaft as I wasn't digging it .cheers for any advice in advance.

Start taking it apart and see but my gut feeling is its splitting the cases.hope I'm wrong

Ya I see that but looks like it's just pushed in but when I pull it it springs back .I will prob have to split it .thanks

They are pretty basic to take apart . Nothing too fancy about em . Throw in rings and a camchain while in there

Looks like the mechanism is on the inside alright,
watch the alignment of the springs when dissembling
