I think they want to try to run both meeting next year,,,one road race on the new circuit and one at St Angelo airfield,,

Is that correct for Skerries? Skerries always runs Friday/ Saturday, not Saturday/ Sunday? Are they changing?

Re: Road racing dates 2018

Bad news - the Kells Club issued a statement this morning that this years meeting has been cancelled and plan to run in 2019. The statement said that due to recent developments due to access areas being denied to certain spectator areas, an issue they hope to resolve in time for next year, the Club felt unsafe and impractical to run.

I know a few members in the Club and they've worked dam hard to get the meeting back this year.

Road racing in Ireland is in big trouble.

all going ahead bar Kells
its a great day out racing , not many sports where you can get so close to the action .
The more attend the better and more secure for the following year .
All clubs seem to be so dependent on people paying in and of course the weather .
Anyone with any interest should pick a date and try get to a race and experience the thrill of it .
The usuals will always turn up but they all need new customers paying in
Walderstown and Faugheen are my favourites

usually only 10 to 15 yo yo to get in cheap as chips for a days racing
and the lads risking their necks
Adam Mc Clean is one to watch this year brilliant young rider
looking forward to it all
