Enduro on UK Reg

Hi lads. Im hoping to sell my mx bike and buy a road legal enduro. Something like a KTM 350 or CRF250L. There isn't a lot to choose from in this country that is already road registered, which leads me to looking to possibly going to the England/wales where the choice is much higher. My question is that if I buy a bike over there that has number plates and has been used on the road, is it just a matter of bringing it back and calling to NCT centre to clear and put on irish plates?

Yes.
Make sure the seller gives you the full v5.
Have a boat ticket with reg on the receipt.
Or a receipt from transport company with registration on it.

Yes , same as any road bike,
I've a 450 enduro, I know there not meant for much road use but I can't imagine a 250 or 350 having much grunt on the road, I've mine on DD at the minute https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes-for-sale/bmw-g-450-x/20498194

No worries , just for reference, I had a wr450f with knobblies and my one had knobblies on when I got it, they are a bitch on the road, vibration is bad on them, a more road oriented tyre will transform the bike, the wr stands for wide ratio gearbox, so its not topping out at 50mph on the road, I found the BMW has a wider ratio than the wr both on standard sprockets, at 60mph your not abusing it,it will top out at 95, I did 330km in one day on mine at an average of 60mpg .
Never had a KTM or a crf.

Cheers alan

2016 bike with 16,000 miles on it and were asking stupid money for it.

My friend walked away from it and got a cracker of a bike over in Leeds with only 5000 miles on it.

Brought in a mint CRF250L from wales and it worked out much cheaper than here. Sold her and got the Rally from here.

Just make sure that it has 6000 km's on it (which is going to be a lot on a enduro bike) or you will have to pay VAT, or make sure that you put a clock on it that says over 6000 km's before bringing it to NCt T centre
