Eicma is going to be interesting with all the new super nakeds looking forward to what Ktm have in store with the Superduke.

Might be just me but it seems utterly pointless. The wings are real pandering to the modern buyer - and extra whatever kg of downforce at 168mph (according to Ducati). No fairing. Now unless you have a neck like Mike Tyson and just love being miserable you aren't spending much time at 168mph on a naked bike. So what are you doing with the wings? Saying oh look at my wings :bag:

It literally looks like they took the fairings off the V4S and made it a tiny little bit more comfortable (maybe). Just buy the V4S which now has wings too, but also has a fairing so you can sit at 168mph on the way for breakfast and enjoy your downforce

I think it looks stunning, I'd have one if I could afford it.

It's a very dramatic description that MCN man gave. I've owned two 1290 Superdukes and they are unstable on straights and over bumps alright. Mostly because it's a bolt upright naked not based on a sportsbike with quite soft suspension. I doubt the V4 which is essentially a V4S with stuff pulled off (identical Ohlins suspension/damper etc.) has massive rear weight transfer and unloading at the speeds that most will use it at. Maybe down the back straight of Mugello :bag:
I would also think the Ohlins damper on it will do a better job of sorting out any sudden slaps/weaves that might occur under normal use. The wings are purely for top speed stability - they aren't going to do anything if you hit a bump coming out of a corner at 80mph on full throttle and have the front slap a bit.

I'd rather do without but for some that extra high speed ability (on a naked) might make sense - no doubt it will be the quickest on track anyway
