Nissins on a TL1000R

Would anyone know if these nissin 6 pots will fit on a tl1000.
The bolts are 90mm apart, they're gv73a's.
The stock tokicos are shite, same as the busa and k1 gsxr1000's.

Yeah they are correct at 90mm....they’re an expensive caliper though, tough to find...be pretty trick if you got a set.

I can get the pair in the photo for €275. it doesn't seem like bad value for a pair of those.

That’s not really all that bad,you could probably multiply it by 5 for a set of billet ones!!!

Some Buells used them too,but was only a single front and rebranded. Pretty good anchors

Had the 6 pot Nissin's on an old srad - I hated those brakes. A lot of upkeep to keep them 100%

Which bike did they come off?
There seems to be big differences in what would appear to be the same caller. The ones fitted to the buells apparently fare much worse than the ZX7RR ones

Gsxr Srad 1000's - very spongy even after a re-build.

Not sure if they would suit your TL but might be worth checking. Has to be old s-rads breaking around.

gsxr1000's had 62mm tokico 6 pot which are better than the 90mm 6 pot tokicos but still not great, nissin 6 pots seem to be a much stronger option and generally dont corrode that badly once cared for. the old 4 nissin pots from old bandit 12's and gsxrs are very good also and are cheap to get.

And if i had a bit more in the budget i would go with radial brembos, however cash is tight and I don't have the time (or the cost of the billet, 2 ft of 7075t6 is €530) to make a set of fork lowers to suit them at the moment.
At some stage i'll fit a set of Ohlins forks and brembos from a later model machine but this'll get the brakes a bit better for handy enough money, i have already got WP fork internals fitted which made a huge difference to handling over stock so i'm not in a major panic, i'd just like slightly better stoppers.

Re: Nissins on a TL1000R

For the money I think the nissins will be a grand job...I looked into them for my old firestorm, didn’t manage to find a suitable set of Brembos with 90mm spacing at the time. There is fair bit of expense involved with the radial jobbies, much better brakes for sure but you’ll be getting into changing lots of bits on the system to get them mounted up
