re registering a 32 year old bike
 
folks i know there is no vrt on the bike but what is the fee for changing over to an irish plate from an english one,and can i use a zv plate ?

I changed over a 36 year old bike about 5/6 weeks back and no charge.

Did one in Cork last year. Was asked did I want 76 c or ZV. Guess which I took?

Is there a charge for re reg;and did u have to book in to not center

At least they offered you a decent alternative to having a Langer reg on the bike which would have ultimately devalued the vehicle 😛😛

There was no charge, its done by nct crowd but not at all there centres,it took me about a week to get it vrtd

Just Curious, how long is the number, last time I got a bike VRT'd I though I'd have to put and extension on the plate

Fella at vrt said there would be 6 numbers after the zv, i reckoned plate would look like a signpost so i got the year instead

ZV and 5 numbers. 17*** I think. Bike sold now so cant remember too well

I have an 85 bike coming shortly but my plan was to get the 85 C plate for it.

You can choose between the zv or year number plate👍
