Valve Removal......anyone here do it?
 
Anyone here able to pop 2 inlet valves out of a cylinder head for me?

I'm in North Dublin.

I'd usually fashion a bit of flat steel with a couple of holes in it..one to loosley bolt it to the head with a larger hole over the valve big enough to get the collets out,.....and long enough to force the spring down easily....might sound complicated but it's not

Piece of piss ..takes 10 minutes to make.....generally find I have to make a new one each time for different bikes or ccars...

I have a tool I made from a G-clamp.
works great.

I usually use a socket and tap with a hammer, keys should fall out then

depending on the stiffness of the spring ive gone with a socket and a narrow magnet down the middle, push it down by hand and magnet picks up collets, but i got a valve spring compressor for like 30 quid and used that since

If all you want to do is remove them, a socket and hammer never fails.

I've various valve spring compressors if you need em .
