Q1 Do you take payment in euro or sterling? If sterling some lads want to pay in full now while the rate is so good.
A1 Either, We use a base rate of 1.10 Euro to the pound (rather than fluctuate the prices).

Q2 How long dose it take to ship the bikes both out and return?
A2 Approximately one week either side.

Q3 How big is each riders crate allocation?
A3 Motorcycle,
Set of paddock stands
1 set of wheels or tyres only
Small toolbox 1 FT BY 2 FT BY 1 FT MAXIMUM (We recommend buying a plastic box of this),
Small Kit bag for riding gear
ANYTHING ELSE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A SURCHARGE OF GBP 10 PER ITEM AND MUST FIT IN THE CRATE. THIS IS NECESSARY AS UNFORTUNATELY A MINORITY OF CUSTOMERS BRING FAR TOO MUCH AND IT ENDS UP ENCROACHING INTO OTHER PEOPLES CRATES AND COULD DAMAGE THEIR PROPERTY. EXTRA CRATES CAN BE BOOKED AT GBP 200.

Q4 What tires would suggest running, who is the manufacturer on track and what is the cost of a set out there?
A4 Dunlop are currently the best, We will have a full tyre fitting service at the track, tyres can be preordered and we'll have them delivered, Prices will be very competative.

Q5 Do we need to bring fuel cans? I’m guessing shipping fuel is a no no. Do bikes need to be dry?
A5 We operate a fule service at the track. Basically we run back and forth to the petrol service with van and sell 10/20 liter jerry cans. There is a 2 euro chrge per can for this to cover the expense involved.

Q6 What gear setup would you run for the track? Is there a set up spec list available? If not, lets say my bike a Yam R6?
A6 We can advise at the track. It has to be geared for the back straight really, very long! It's rider ability specific though.

Mondello and Belfast (somewhere). But there will be two pick up locations. I'll have to get more details on the northern pickup.

I'd love to do this, but I'd probably kill myself. Maybe in a few years, looks like you'd need about 50K under your belt.

Great work Ken.
Just a quick question:-
I thought the lorry held 32, or is it only the first 25 booked on you are liasing with?

There are a number of racer Northern boys who may book later and if so Jeremy was chatting about puttin on another lorry if need be. That would be perfect as one lorrry would do the pickup in Dublin for the southern riders and the other in Bangor for the northern ones, but we'll wait and see what develops.
Cheers

There are 32 places, but the discount will only apply to the 25 on the list.
The rest will be filled by going through Gerry directly.

Ok, Thanks Ken. I just want to assure anyone else wishing to go, the lorry holds 32 bikes and after that if there is many more they'll try put on another lorry especially if a number of guys want out to get set up for the new season.
Northern pick up will most likely be Bangor, Co Down.

NO Developments since last post, Gerry was on holidays till the 28/11. So I'd be expecting him to start making contact with riders who filled the on-line application this week.
If you havent signed up on-line, please do! There are no shortage of people looking to partake and Gerry will not be turning away full paying customers to reserve you a place if you have not signed up through the academy web site even if your name is on the original of 25 names supplied to him.
Those names on that list are entitled to a group rate, by haveing your name on the list there is no Implication of having a place reservied for you.

For the remaing 5 riders please sign up ASAP.

Thanks
Ken

There are 3 or so people still to fill out the application on the superbikeacademy web site. A place will only be held for you for the 7 days, after that standard pricing will applied. Please sign up to obtain the group rate ASAP. No money will be required when filling out the application. You will be invoiced at a later date.
