Hi all,

I want to say a big thanks to all the above for putting there names down as quickly as they did. It's a real help when discussing prices to have a set list of names. I've sent the above list to the school this will enable them to apply the correct pricing to each of you. If i dont have your contact details please Pm or mail them to me so i can keep you informed. Or if need a hand filling in the form i'll pm you my mobile number.

Thanks again.
Ken

I've been getting PM's asking about the final couple of places, unfortunately 1-20 is gone. I'm going to put another 5 places on to back fill any cancellations. I'll discuss with the school if there are places should no cancellations appear.

The limiting factor is the truck it can only fit 32 bikes.
And I'm unaware as to how many of the places have been taken out side of our group.

Hopefully we will fit everyone in.

i've being keeping an eye on the aerlingus flights to Malaga the last week and the price has gone up twice in the last week.
So i'd say we'd better book our flights asap........ i'm assuming a good few of us will be using the Dublin/Malaga route??
It's the cheapest i could find. Almeria airport is closer but isn't serviced as frequently.

All,

I've just been off the phone with the school and the dates are fixed. There is a delay in getting a final price as they are currently running the school. It's finishing up today and they will be back in the UK later this week and answering emails (most of which will be from me) He was delighted that the list is complete and will be working on our discount.

For those who are feeling the need to book flights, it looks safe to go ahead and do so. He has reassured me that the dates are fixed.

The flight i would suggest is:
Air Lingus:
From Dublin (DUB) To Malaga (AGP)
€44.99 DUB 07:10 Tue 09 Mar AGP 11:10 Tue 09 Mar EI582

From Malaga (AGP) To Dublin (DUB)
€44.99 AGP 12:05 Sat 13 Mar DUB 14:10 Sat 13 Mar EI583

Total Price: EUR 156.52
+ €10 handeling
Real total price €166.52

Car hire

I propose rental cars, 4 to a car or x to a minibus, it gives us freedom from buses and taxi's
It's working out for the 4 days ford focus = €115 or Mini bus = €160

ex:
Daewoo Matiz with ac Manual 62.13 EUR Inclusive
Ford Focus 1.6 with ac Manual 113.10 EUR Inclusive
Fiat Ducato with ac Manual 162.56 EUR Inclusive

http://www.autoeurope.ie/car.cfm
Auto europe look good their price's includes zero excess insurance

We will work out which suit's best when we have the figures for each flight.

Ken

Ken , we'll only need the rental car for 4 days . Europcar is very reasonable ........... Ive used them before . These are total prices , so divide by 4

Return 13-03-2010 / 14h00 - MALAGA AIRPORT (AGPT01)

Duration: 4 day(s)

FI PANDA 12DYN 60CV
or similar
159.99 EUR

PEUGEOT PARTNER COMBI
or similar
206.34 EUR

MINI COOPER 1.6

Standard
ALFA 159 1.9

We're not going to need to book this till next year, plenty of time to find best deal, but it looks like the way to go

Some positive feedback (from rsv1000), taken from another site:
I cant wait!

"This was excellent. Best trackday I have ever been at.

For starters the sun was out, the track was long and full of everything.............blind crests (thankfully Jeremy marked them with cones), long straights, constant radius left handers, uphill right handers.................you name it it was there.

Then there was also a Moto2 team testing, 3 new MV Augusta F4's out with telemetry, our own Jeremy McWilliams, Eugene Laverty and Josh Elliot, Gino Rea, Bradley Smith and numerous other high profile riders.

When you are passed as if you are standing still by that lot you realise how sheeite you really are hahaha but it felt good to be out on the same track with them. I can even say I passed Eugene Laverty at one stage although he was cruising and instructing another rider.

I learnt a lot from Jeremy and co who were all really willing to help and knocked 8 seconds off my time from day 1 to the final race on day 3 when I got a 10th.

The event itself was really well run and I cant remember even 1 stoppage. There was more than enough track time. The first day I was lucky to do 8 laps at a time as the temp was in the late 20's.

Every garage at the circuit had 2 toilets and a shower and was regularly cleaned by a a guy that appeared everywhere. One minute he was cleaning the garages the next he had a leaf blower cleaning some stones off the track the next he was helping me push my bike out of the gravel trap when I overshot the runway on the long straight in the endurance race.

Would I go again - definitely!

Here's a pic I took with my Sony Ericsson camera phone of Arne Tode testing a Moto2 bike. These things were loud! Nice to see Josh holding one at bay for a complete lap in the big race! Michael Neeves of MCN was there so there will be a report of the whole thing in MCN shortly".
