Jeremy McWilliams Superbike Academy March 10/11/12; Riders needed

Racers/ Track day riders,

I've been in discussion with the Jeremy McWilliams Superbike Academy, which is a three day training academy in Alermeria. The next available class is in March, 3/4/5, just before the start of the season. The class if Feb has been canceled. There is the option of shipping our bikes over and back if there are about 20 of us. Transport for the bikes will be available from Dublin and Belfast. If we were to book as a group there may be a discount as well.

This is open to trackday riders too! But perhaps not suited to novices (have a read of the website to figure out if you feel your up to pace)

Guide prices are below:
Tracktime only, 3 days. Eur 350,-
Superbike Academy. add Eur 55,-
Masterclass – per 1 hr - Eur 165,-
Motorcycle and kit transportation from Ireland Eur 320,-
Hotel (4 star bitch side, based on sharing a twin room with breakfast included). Eur 22,- per night

So for about €800 you have three days in spain on a warm track (add in extra for masterclass and Super bikeacademy these are optional) + flights

The course has been pushed by a week now held on the 10,11,12 March, I just recieved a mail this morning, But they have promissed a further discount to make up for the inconvience. I hope this dosent push anyone out of the course.

To All on the above list, please feel free to book in on the website below, BUT PLEASE in the comments section enter that you are booking as part of the "KEN HUGHES" group, that way they will know to apply the group rate to you and also enter if you have someone in mind to share the room with. The deposit will not be required for a while, £250, but I do believe it will be called for over the coming month/ month half.

Once I have the list filled (I'm going to leave it open for another three to four weeks then, by then hopefully the list will be full. Once it's full I'll start into organizing flight times and transport. Again I will not be handling any money, merely organizing a flight that will suit the group and a bus transfer on the other side.

I think perhaps you mean the lorry capacity from Ireland is 30 or so, and anyone wishing to benefit from the 'Irish pick up' special rate has to be on that lorry. Anyone not on that one will have to get their bike to the mainland and back themselves.

(The Academy prices on the web site are based on a mainland Britain pick up) i.e :-

* TRACK TIME ONLY - £ 320 / EUR 350. Including transponder timing and optional fun races. No Superbike Academy briefings.

* SUPERBIKE ACADEMY - £369 / EUR 405. Track time plus join the coaches for Superbike Academy briefings.

* MASTERCLASS -add £149 per 1 hr session.


* SUPERBIKE ACADEMY PACKAGE - £649. Including 4 nights hotel and motorcycle transportation from UK Depot.

* For other TRANSPORT and HOTEL options such as regional pick-up and extra rooms please contact us for availability.


The best value is the Academy package for £649 (or Euro equivilant) which obviously excludes the masterclass but includes everything else except the extra bit of transport from Ireland. With between 20 and the full load will reduce this significantly. I'll clarify the ammount soon.

All going well we just need two/ three names more and we'll have the 20. It looks like position 5 not going to be taken by the chap who requested me to hold him a spot.

I've sent off a request today for the final price based on the twenty places being filled.

In the comments section enter that you are part of the "Ken Hughes Group", they know all about us! You can pay the deposti two ways credit card or money transfer, I'd select money transfer as you can do this at a later stage when the price is finalized. Once you do this your place is reserved.
The discount has not been fixed, but i will supply the final prices ASAP.

I've contacted them with some questions today regarding dates for transport for the bikes and support equipment, I'll post all info as it comes in.

The delay in a final price is a result of getting a pricing for shipping from the Irish shipping agent.
