Noticed the other day that the odometer on my clock is stuck on 28999!!! Hence its not recording the mileage I'm doing on the bike. The Speedo works fine and so does the tripometer. Since these are sealed units so that they can't be tampered with (clocked) does anyone know of anyone out there who specialises in this sort of thing (not of a criminal persuasion... no offence

Besides, being stuck on XX999 would be a bit of a giveaway To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. |

Try taking the cable out of the clock and the wheel nut. Then pull the inner cable out a bit and try it again at the clock end.
I had that problem on my Ducati and it was just the cable was a couple of millimeters short and wasn't engaging with the various gears inside the clocks. Took a few tries to get it working and lots of unecessary cursing. |

Can you replace the inner metal cable only and try a new one ?
Maybe the end of your cable is damaged or worn down with use. |

Leo O'Reilly's are very good I find, might make you wait a week or so but its not off-the-road because of it.

Well everything else is working so I guess it could get worse!!
