I personally only know of one other Special Edition in Ireland although I'm sure there must be a couple more. There's a few in the UK and the USA.
And yes, they we're one of the last batch of 1150's made before the R1200 came along. |

The million dollar question.
I'm a bit weedy at 5' 8" and thats the main reason for selling the GSA. What to go for next? Going to try the KTM 990 Adventure and maybe the new KTM 990 SM-T. I can see myself going for a compromise - a 990 Adv with 19"/17" wheels (stock are 21"/18") and street tires. |

Supposed to be good bikes alright but read (on the UKGSer forum) that the build quality is not up to scratch.
Sat on one before and it felt like there wasn't much in front of me, but then again on the GSA I have a 30L tank in front of me so anything would be small..... I'll give it a go though - be foolish not to test everything I can. Might even give an FJR a blast. Lovely looking bikes. |

do yourself a favour though and post the pix of the bike you are selling. when it stops raining. Ie, put it back together as for sale. No one has the extra money to kit out these bikes. buyer will just end up going to you to get the rest of it anyway.
You should also put up a 'total price' that will include all the extras. I suspect your upgrading and keeping the extras!!! That's what I did! Why you selling? Rr1150gsa is THE one to have. ALL other boxer engines are lesser equals! Bring on the abuse about the 12 being better...if you don't like the colour I'll swap you mine! Mine prob runs better though. |

Right finally got out and took a couple of photos while it's a bit dry.
As for a price including all the accessories, it would be €9500. For the extra €1500 above the base price you get: custom low saddle with rider and pillion gel inserts, Al Jesse (from USA) quick release panniers, Migsel GPS mount, 20mm lower Wilbers shocks (about 1000 miles on them), Touratech headlight grill, White Baglux tank cover (not fitted), Trailtech Veypor computer, K1200RS Mirrors, Carbon fibre hugger (not fitted), GMTMoto spotlight mounts with Hella FF50 HID spots, HID fogs & mounting brackets, Migsel low footpegs & Springs, Touratech gear lever extender, Touratech Neoprane fork protectors (not fitted). I'll try and get better photos over the weekend. |

Yeah have my heart set on a KTM 990 at the minute although I did go and buy a Sargent low seat for the GSA and a tank bag for the bagster tank cover (which I must fit) on Saturday.
At least my arse will be extra comfy until it sells..... I'll try and get out this evening to take a few more photos. |

Al Jesse panniers and the low seat which are optional extras.
See below about the tank cover. |

If I get me asking price or a very close offer I'll include the following:
All the aux lights - so that's the fogs and spots which are all HID. It's like driving in the daytime with all lights on. The tank cover. I also have a tank bag winging its way to me so that will also be included (if it arrives). |

cheers thanks.
Thinking of stripping all the accessories down besides the HID dip & high beam, handguard extenders, Y-Piece, Odyssey battery, Tobinators (make the windsceeen adjustable), horn, side stand plate. Might list the bike for €7250 with the above or €8000 with full luggage. |

Sounds right. Massive drop from last years prices. Might be interested in any other 1150 accessories you may have available when it sells.
the lights are great. mine are in a diffrent position but yep. Should have been used in that film 'legend' starring will smith. the HID's turn night into day. oh, yeah, give a fellow tosser an option on the tobinators ffs! I'm looking for a set as it happens. Along with a laminar lip should one of those be knocking round! Last edited by FlatKnuckles; 10th June 2009 at 05:59 PM. Reason: more shite talk |

Not problem giving an option but I'd need your side pods in part-exchange. Don't have those bits!
