Well, yesterday I rode a motorcycle for the first time ever ...
I bought a 125 Honda Rebel a few weeks ago, and did the insurance/tax thing. Got a new battery. Finally got it to work (like it did when I bought it). Mate tells me how to ride it. Off I go, in low gears. Loving every second, and just as I come around the corner to get home, my chain comes off the back sprocket. Nearly shat myself. Bikes slows. Can't find neutral. At that point I had no idea the chain was off the backend! lol Anyway, I called Ivor's in Galway and they agreed to pickup my bike for just 10 Euros. They are doing a chain and sprocket replacement. I just wanted to say thanks publically, because Ivor's have been more than helpful so far. I will continue this thread over the next few days. It might help, if another Galway rider is deciding whether or not to use Ivor's for repairs. So far, service has been great ... |

for future reference; always check how loose your chain is.
a very loose chain can fall off the sprockets. its an easy thing to tighten when you're collecting the bike, ask the mechanic how. it'll take 10 seconds to show you |
