Default old restricters idea

was mulling over doing some kinda thing along the lines of ......

if theres lads that are finished with their restrictors and dont want them anymore ,they could sent them to me and ill fit them to other lads bikes for just the labour involved.
i could do a cert stating that id restricted the bike also .
or if lads wanted to sell the old restrictors reasonable i could pass on the price +labour for fitting.

bear in mind its not to make money (im busy enough ) its to try reduce costs of lads getting on the road .

ill make a list of the restrictors sent/available on this thread if needed.

good idea or bad idea ?

edit, kits come and go ,some sent in are already on bikes ,if i get em free then i only charge for labour and certing .
kits i have at the moment
, xj600,cb500,fzr400,cbr6 f4i/f sport,er5/gpz500 ,srad600.t/alp 650 ,vtx1300, sv650 curvy ,zxr400, fazer 600, gs500, vfr400 nc24 and nc30 ,and cb400
f650 ones there now too

If it passes the insurance requirements (and I can't see why not), it sounds like a great idea - keeps the cost down for newbies, and a bit of recycling thrown in for good measure!!

Good one chop!

tis a great idea chop, anything that reduces the cost of getting people on the road can only be good for biking, god knows theres enough hurdles in our way already and with cbt on the way tis gonna get a lot dearer. fair play chop.

Excellent idea I reckon. The cost of those restrictors is an absolute joke..

Could be a big help to someone starting out

The ones I had lying around are on their way down, save someone €200 odd euro for the pleasure of owning two washers and piece of fancy paper

Good idea. Community in action. I see it's already started with L-tabards and stuff. No reason why it shouldn't work on more expensive stuff.
