Thats not that suprising, considering you'll here a lot of people getting different quotes for the same detail, its just down to the person on the end of the line. Keep your ref number...but if your on an A1 prov licence, 25kw is your limit, and I think its max 125cc as well....

Get your provisional A first, then the limit is .16Kw/kg and 25Kw. The A1 is only really for under 18's. The therory test cert last for a year I think, so it should still be valid.
