Default aon bike insurance (30%discount with cage insurance)

heres the story....did grade 2 training to get insured on gsxr600 k1..told insurance would be 1260 yo yo with the training....not too bad as ive only got provisional and zero no claims....rang back when i bagged the training and different fella quotes same price...ready to give him my visa number when he asks me if i have a private cage policy with any named drivers....answer yes to him and he says he can give me a quote of 840 yo yo....holy shit ...cheers to him for doing his jib as nobody else there was bothered to tell me...are they getting commission on the policys they sell? ..only thing i can think of....anyway thanks again buddy..

i tried to get quote off them few months ago and they told me nothing bout that but quoted 1450 euro for nsr 125 only payed 850 with carrol nash

It was only brought in that's why you would never have been offered it !! not that they're not bothered.... no they don't get commission

AON, shower of pissants. Applied for an online quote for me XS, for the craic, ya know.

Some craic, €1,002. Insured with CN for half that.

renewal with CN was 1057 fully comp - rang AON, named on car ins etc, Fully Comp 496!!!! How bad is that!

how old are u if you dont mind me askin! as far as i know the restricted GSXR is group 6! im paying 1,600 (on a restricted bandit Group 5) with a grade 2, full licence and 1 years NCB! the only thing can go against me at the moment is my age. Im 22.

got proposal form, from aon today 474 fully comp, with c**e policy, 34 with 5yrs ncb on zxr7r . carol naSH WERE OVER 1000 ALTHOUGH I HAVE THE VFR400 NC24 WITH THEM FOR UNDER 300???????

im afraid to ask what mines gonna be next year, but it was on an extra 49 to change over to the cbr for 3 months, any chance they will knock off anymore if I have 2 grade 2s

I renewed my policy with aon last Tuesday and when I showed them my policy on the jeep as my main transport my bike policy fully comp. went from 357.52 euro to 244.01 euro. I thought that was quite good

does it work if you just tell them that you are or will they check policys details ....wot if i got my missus to name me whilst i got it done and then take it off?????

They ask for a photocopy of all relevant paperwork! Not sure how it'd work if you got put on then taken off.

im just guessing if i get on and give them a copy and then take it off a few weeks later........say the missus had a change of heart or summat....................im guessing thy dont say you need to call us for change of your status..............

I did mention on the 'Discounts' thread about getting the assessment done - depending on the grade you get, that can knock a good chunk off your premium too!

paying a grand exact now...............up in august............provisional english license.will be 2 years ncb then.............wot ya think......cant be arsed getting ripped off any more plus i need to get a cage too to start bringing the child to the school and so..............

Well it's certainly worth a try - you could find it doesn't cost that much to get added as a named driver!
