Enniskillen Revival next sat
The sights and sounds of the 2013 Enniskillen 100 Revival at Enniskillen Airport will provide a unique mix of nostalgia and excitement for spectators and participants alike. The organisers have been working hard to secure the appearance of some very significant riders and racing motorcycles from Ireland and further afield. Already confirmed to be attending is Dave Hailwood, son of the legendary 'Mike the Bike' Hailwood, who will be riding a Factory approved replica of his father's famous Honda 500cc four cylinder machine.
The Entry list includes International competitors, IOM TT winner(s), Past and Present Irish Road Race & Short Circuit Champions and a present British Championship competitor!
St Angeleo airfield, (signposted from Enniskillen) is the venue for the event, Gates open at 11.30 am, with the action starting at 12 noon, and running until 5.00pm.
The format of the event will see riders compete in Five laps Demonstrations throughout the day, there will also be a static display of motor cycles, along with various side shows, all the ingredients for a great family day out.
After last years success, it was inevitable, that the organizers would want to build on their success, and judging by the entry list, they certainly have done just that.
Running this year in conjunction with the Cookstown& District MCC, the organizers can now confirm the appearances of many top Riders from the Past and Present!
Star attraction for the event is Dave Hailwood, son of the Legendary Mike Hailwood, the Multi IOM TT winner and former World Champion. Hailwood made his name on Honda machinery, and it is with the Approval from Honda, that Dave will ride a replica of his Dads 500-4 Honda, no doubt the noise of this machine will bring back memories for the older generation of spectators.
Joining Dave in the line up will be riders such as, Billy McCosh (G50 Matchless), Brian Reid & Geoff McMullan (500 RG Suzukis), Brian Hewitt (125 MBA), Stephen Cull ( 500 RS Honda), Trevor Steele, Leslie McMaster , Rickie Whyte, Clifford Stewart, Robbie Richardson & Gary Millar (350 yamahas), Alan Irwin ( Machine TBC), Michael McGarrity (350 AJS), Robert Ewing (500 MV Agusta), Jim Gibson( 350 Offendstat Yamaha), Jimmy O Kane (Manx Norton), Robert Pritchard ( ex Gerry Summerfield Manx Norton), Gordon & John Bell and local Father and Son, both legends in their own right, Julian and Josh Elliot.
Other riders include Gareth Keys ( 350 Yamaha 1000 BMW), Paul Gartland (650 Suzuki/1000 Honda), Mark Kirkpatrick (350 Honda),Wayne & Melissa Kennedy, , Mark Connolly (500 Manx Norton) ,but to name a few. It must be remembered, this is Not a race, and all sessions will be controlled!.
Adding a touch of International flavour to the event will be one of the most popular competitors to compete here in Ireland in recent years, from the Czech Republic, Michael “Indie” Dukopil and his girlfriend, Veronika Hankocy, Both of whom will ride various machines during the course of the day!.
There will also be Supermoto Demo’s, with Bruce Drummond and Philip Wylie amongst the runners, Vintage, Classic and Modern Motorbikes, Rally Cars and vehicles of special interest.
Amongst the static display, will be, 50cc Honda, as ridden by Tommy Robb, Ralph Bryans , 250 Harley Davison race bike , moto cross machines,plus many others , There will also be a Custom Bike display. Games & Entertainment for all the family!
