Default Honda CB500 Vs Suzuki Bandit 600

Howdy,

I have three offers for new bike

Honda CB400 93 41K 1200
Honda CB500 98 ?K 950

or

Suzuki Bandit 600 97 25K 1000

I have driven a CB400 and loved it but always wanted a Bandit ever since cousin had one years ago.

But want to know what you think?

Honda CB5, easy engine to work on(2 cylinders instead of 4, so a lot less moving parts to replace)and the Honda finish lasts forever

OOH!
Ive had a lot of Bandits and still have some but the CB is a very very good bike!
depends on use and what kind of rider you are!
CB handles pretty well but even tho it will do 130 ish it still gives a real commuter vibe!
bandit in stock trim is a little floppy so for springs and brakes lines are a must..
very close!
Id say go see the bikes and what condition they are in and maybe try ride both!

Moving up from a 125? I'd say CB500, it probably makes for safer fun, if you are not used to bigger bikes. Never driven a Bandit, but I'd expect it to be a good bit heavier, and to have a higher center of gravity.
Either way, you can't go too far wrong with either. Fancy a CB500 for 500 quid? Only 65k miles on the clock, one careful owner (after the previous 4, I think). Speedo and rev meters are regularly checked to work all the way up the scale (more so the rev meter), and it never ever ever ever misses a beat.
