if i was in another country with my bike it would not leave my sight. i certainly would not leave it parked in a city area i knew nothing about. if i could not get a hostel with parking in the city i would go to the burbs

Left overnight on Talbot St. in plain view with a small lock on the front wheel? The poor guy must be well pissed off with the Emerald Isle. What a shitty thing to happen to him.

What if everyone on this forum donated maybe €10 to buy a bait bike and set up a sting in Dublin where the biggest problem seems to be , cooperation with the guards and hopefully might slow this shit down
I personally believe this is being done by Brit gangs as its getting too hot in engerland for them

Someone with money needs to set up a sting operation.set bugged bikes like they do with the cages in the USA. Organise it with the Garda and start picking off these fuckers that have no life.

My mate works down that neck of the woods and I meet him for lunch sometimes and the amount of scumbags/junkies walking around there is unbelievable, not a nice place to have anything valuable

Sickner all right. But I wouldn't park my bike in Talbot St 20 years ago when I lived in Dublin, so I doubt if it's any better now. You have to have a bit of cop on.
