Default MotoGP Ducati Silly Seaon Predictions

Crutchlow
Dovisioso
Bradl
Iannone
Spies
Bautista

I can see Ducati going through a lot of riders in the next few years to see who can get them back on top.

They bought them a while back and they want Bradl for 2014 season. Spies suppose to be staying at Yamaha and Cal going to Ducati 2013. New owners throwing a pile of money at the new bike.

For any one thinking of taking up a ride with Ducati two words to consider

Melandri, Rossi.

Only Stoner managed to tame it, currently there does not appear to be another of his quality around, what ever you think of him personally the facts speak for themselves

Its a crap bike that has taken Hayden about 5 years to come to terms with it. It matters not a jot how much money you throw at it if you don't have the expertise in the design department it's not worth a light. Just look at BMW plenty of money little results after 4 years. World Superbikes, 125's, 250's and other production classes are a different case there are plenty of things to copy but prototypes are a different kettle of fish entirely

It would suit an older rider who's career is on the downward slope who thinks more about money than winning. History is sadly littered with careers that suffered through joining a GP Team at the wrong time and for the wrong reasons i.e. Walker, Toseland, Haslam, Hodgeson, Fogaty, some managed to recover as has Melandri, Foggy and Haslam but had they exercised a bit more thought they might have got a lot further even if they were no richer.

I don't like the little fecker but Cal Crutchlow would do a job there, everybike he's ever been on, he eventually gets results on, he needs a learning curve, understands the bike & gets on with it, unlike Rossi who changes everything to his style, Cal (like Stoner) changes his style to suit the bike. Spies is staying put, as is Bradl, & I heard Hayden to WSBK on the beautiful Panigale, Ducati wanna keep him to appeal to the American Market

Dont think so really.
I get the impression Yam are stalling signing Cruchlow
hoping he'll move of his own accord,
leaving the way clear for Spies to go back to Tech 3,
Dovi moves up and Bwadley moves to Tech 3.
Seemples.
Tidys everything up nicely

Yes, there will be bags of money thrown at the ducati.....

However, rumours of filippo preziosi getting the bullet is wrong 'cause Rossi aint delivering. What a waste of money by Ducati. If you ask me I think Rossi has taken Ducati in the wrong direction in the first place (which is why the bike is all back to front)!! It is not a jap inline four and the DNA of the ducati aint like any jap bike he's ever ridden.

Rossi cannot ride the duke, end of. And IF whomever owns DUCATI choose Rossi over what the brand stand for i think its a horrendous decision.

Give Rossi his marching papers

Why would Dovi be ending his career? He's getting more results than Cructhlow and should be given the factory ride!

Stoner's last year on the Ducati wasnt all that great and he finished behind Rossi who missed a load of races with a broken leg. The Ducati failed to get any better where the Honda was miles better in 2011 due to them pouring money into the last year of 800s and running 4 factory bikes in an attempt to win an 800 championship.
Granted Stoner did a great job with the Ducati as he was willing to push it harder to the point of crashing a lot. But he wasnt ever going to win a championship with it if he stayed there in 2011.
And it's not just Rossi - even De Puniet was a million times slower in 2011 on the Pramac than he was in 2010 on the LCr Honda. It's a POS, plain and simple. The Yamaha and Honda are miles better.
Also before anybody cries this is not saying anything bad about Stoner - he's a genius on a bike

I'll be surprised to see Spies on the Yamaha M1 next year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see:

* Crutchlow on a Ducati,
* Dovisioso on the factory Yamaha,
* Spies on Tech 3 on a one-year deal, freeing him to go to Suzuki for 2014,

and finally:
* Hayden to Honda on a one-year deal, creating a straight-up fight between him and Pedrosa to see who will be on Honda in 2014 next to Marquez.

Marquez has the Honda for next year, just not been made public yet.
