Pretty sure I've heard that tensing up is worse in an impact, if you're half pissed you don't react fast enough to tense up, so the drunk usually gets away with less severe injuries

I nearly crashed because of a drunk pillion. He was overcompensating with the whole "lean with it" philosophy that pillions seem to have and diving off the side of the bike at every turn. Never again.

I went home from the desmond rally last year pissed on my brother's flying fridge (cb1000f), even Pissed so much as I was able to "cop on" and ride with him on bends. I thought it was the best thrill ever after a rally. I asked him afterwards ..was I ok ? he said fine.....where sometimes before that sober...I have been called the monkey on the back of the bike !
