Well if he is anything like the Irish "former millionaires " who went bust and bankrupted there will be no fear of him running out of money.

Was thinking the same.He lost 5 million but most of us would need to win the lotto to do a round the world trip. If he's not funding it himself he must be getting sponsorship etc.. Would love to do this myself.. I'm off to do the lotto. €7 million gets a lot of petrol

It's not that expensive to go round the world, I've done it twice, am 32

Admittedly not quite on that scale like

...but I'm far from flush, never had too much to me name...I've done both of my trips for less than the price of what most lads would say is a decent bike...have to work a bit along the way like

You can survive in the likes of South America or parts of Asia on around $20 a day, living quite well

You'd be surprised how long you can go round if you're prepared to make a few sacrifices...like putting off buying a gaff and the likes, but that seems to have worked in my favour

In the real world again now but still like to get away out of the country five or six times a year...would be my main hobby/past-time really

I'll be doing more RTW trips in years to come, an awful lot of places to tick off the list yet

Hi all, I just saw a link on another site to my vid posted here by dMan, great site, so I signed up and since I'll be back in Ireland in end of Feb I'd be interested in meeting up with anyone who would like to.
I have no idea of my schedule, no idea where I'm staying, I usually camp, but I'd be glad of some below riders to point me in the right direction. I guess I should go over to the 'Introduce yourself' thread.
Thanks to dMan for posting the vid.
