need power inverter to 12V. Stuff like fridge is going to eat the battery, would recommend 2nd battery. I have 2 batteries on my transit as standard, its not a camper van , but I can use it as camper too, occasional stuff like festival or weekend away. Things like toilet I dunno, I think its a waist of space, and a lot of hassle, You would need a truck for all that stuff you think to put in.

Wait til the euro finals are over...might get something suitable and cheap that'd already been converted when the hordes of fans return.

Have a converted van, done by Ruddock Racehomes in the UK for a previous owner.Sleeps 3/4 and carries a bike..great for trips away. Has 2 Aux batts to keep all the camper stuff running and electricity hookup.Has fridge, toilet, garage, cooker, grill and sat dish.Put in plenty of insulation too To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. Here's a few inside pics for ideas..The main seat converts to a double bed To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. A friend of mine had an Iveco, The bikes went in the back doors, and there was a platform above the bike area. This platform was a full width sleeping area, accessed from inside.
The front half was the kitchen/dining area -- was a class job. |

There have been a few nice vans on here recently and if you go to UK for sure you will get a well built race van cheaper and better than trying to convert yourself. Only 50 euro vrt on a van from abroad.

I think there is a mobile workshop class as well, I think it needs to have a compressor to qualify -- Just something to look into

Hi Mate
I was doing van conversions and as one guy mentioned put plenty of insulation in it, also work out were you want to put your sockets and have your wires run to a board and labled, You can get a 12v fridge that will run off a small life sized sex dolls inverter or you can use gas power. Ya can get loads of stuff off ebay to kit it out, Best of luck with it To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. Alot of work converting a campervan.
Me and my dad converted an Iveco Daily a few years ago. It was a great job in the end but alot of time went into it. That sprinter looks like a handy job. Nice and simple. |
