Default ABS sensor removal

Did anyone ever take the abs sensor off the back of an 1100 pan european?
I have tried penetrating oil, heat and brute force, nothing doing with it,
It wont even turn,
im afraid to beat the shoite out of it cos the bracket is cast into the final drive housing,
is a drill me only option?

not quite yet Mr Goose,
a funny thing happened, the half that came away contained three badly corroded wires,
the half that remained in place has three terminals sticking out of the plastic,
i just might break out the soldering iron, hook them up and see does it work before i drill the thing out of it,
a new one is 300 of your earth euros plus vat
