North Wicklow Motorcycle Enthusiasts are having their 4th Annual run on

Saturday 15th September 2012

in aid of Enable Ireland

Just a bit about what Enable Ireland do:

Enable Ireland provides free services to children and adults with disabilities and their families from 40 locations in 14 counties. Covering childhood to adulthood our expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage.

Our services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child's physical, educational, and social development from early infancy through adolescence. For adults we offer a range of services covering personal development, independent living, supported employment, social and leisure activities.

The demand for our services continues to increase throughout Ireland. We have set ourselves the challenging goal of meeting these needs by providing a full range of high quality services, and expanding into local communities.

as a point of interest the chef execuitive of enable ireland is paid over e150,000 p.a.

To be honest I wasn't aware of this & after looking into it alot of these charity executives seem to be paid ridiculously high wages & there is talk of them all be capped!

The money we raise is going directly to the Bray branch & we have said it is to be specifically spent on equipment needed for the children in the Wicklow area & not to be spent on wages as they are paid by the HSE as far as I'm aware & also not on building / maintenance funds etc. We will be managing this ourselves to ensure the children are the ones who benefit & not the suits

i understand where comming from , i was working with a "wheelchair place " the boss there was on e140,000 + + car + expen. kind pissed me off when i saw who really needed the money , i will be supporting Bray branch all the best
