hi all was driven down the motorway crusin along then the bike just died
felt like running out of petrol(only filled this eve) so coasted in to hard shoulder droppin gears an lettin clutch out nothin happenin finally stopped i checked the tank lots there mad sure tap was on tried to start nothing it was turning over but not firing put it to reseve gave it a min still nothin turning over but not firing tried a bump nothin gave it a min an tried button again nothin with all the tryin to start think i drained the battery ended up pushin it for a while off a slip road an to a pub few km down the road? any ideas? |

May sound silly but well known accident you may have flicked kill switch,

Open one of the drain screws on one of your carbs.see is there juice comming out.take off the juice hose turn it to pri see does any juice come out.or u cld leave on main and turn it over and see does any juice come out if theres enough in there.check the plugs for spark also.

see some bikes have a very special starter motor that powers themselves from kinetic energy picked up from moon rays even when the whole electric circuit is cut off ie the kill switch

change a plugs, check for spark. same happened to me was looking for problem a days. i could see spark, but bike wouldnt fire up. changed spark plugs, (can try clean them first) fired straight away.
i have similar bike . |

my old fazer died at high revs, so on motorway - turned out the carbs were FULL of rusted away petrol tank. was around 4mm of compacted rust in the bowls. cleaned em out and put a new fuel filter in and was grand after.

If its a 250 bandit its more then likely carbs, had exactly the same problem when I had mine,
