Do i need to bleed the brakes when changing the pads,
noticed back brake is getting very light, is this a sign they need changing? Its not too easy to see the pads its in awkward area. |

No bleeding wouldn't be needed when changing pads. But I wouldn't think pads is your problem. Try bleed them before you touch pads and see how you get on.

Change the fluid and pads. Dont forget to grease the sliding pivot though. If you run into hassle give me a shout, not too far from ya

check your fluid levels,,if its dropped a bit then more than likely the pads are near worn..no you dont need to bleed them..when you take off the old pads just gently push the pistons back into the caliper to allow for new pads to fit in

Open bolts, remove caliper, open reservoir, use large screwdriver to push the pistons back - using the old pads as leverage. If meat on pads is any thinner than the creamy bit of a sandwich biscuit, - I prefer Oreos myself!, replace the pads. Usually held in with 2 pins etc. brakes will be crap for 3 miles or so until they bed in. If in doubt, get help, these are your breaks after all. 25 minute affair. Top up fluid, don't spill it anywhere, it ruins paint. Keep fluid away from the pads too,
