No matter what type of bike you ride, there will always be slagging. At the end of the day it comes down to what you're happiest with yourself. For example, most of the BMW riders that I know wouldn't buy any other type of bike, they reckon the Beemer is the best bike out there. It's the same situation with the Harley owners that I know, they wouldn't have any other type of bike either. The world would be a very boring place if we all wanted exactly the same things in life, wouldn't it?

Phil borrowed his dad's sportster for a week. Feckin thing vibrated so much his hands were numb for about an hour afterwards and the fuel cap vibrated off and he had to pull over and get it. Last straw was when he borrowed it to go to the nifty fifty cause the VTR was having work done. It was low in petrol so he switched it to the reserve. Little did he know that it switches the opposite way to all other bikes and was already in reserve. He had to push it uphill to the nearest petrol station, said he wouldn't go near a harley again.

Have had harleys, beemers, Honda's, yamahas and they where all great. if it had a briggs and straton engine and 2 wheels it would be fantastic. If you dont like everything with 2 wheels reagardless of names and types, your not getting it...

My yoke, the bike that is has little or no vibration or at least nothing that would be classed as annoying, 500km in a day is no problem, very comfortable, dumped my k1200r after a days ride during one of the DSI runs, went home collected the tractor and continued to Limerick, Beemer had no soul, different Harleys differ, ill equally defend my 800XC
