Default How to bleed brakes?

Well lads fitted the new front master cyclinder to the bike bled it, well i think it is bled properly but the leaver has very little travrel before bitting hard.

A couple of things i think it may be
1 it is not bled properly.
2 the master cyclinder im using is for a twin front disc and i only have a single front disc.

Anyway any advice appreciated

ya like savage pressure, brake working fine only leaver very hard

That's your problem. The diameter of the master cylinder ( bore ) is too large, and it is pumping too much fluid, so you get very little movement at the lever. You will also find that you will have to pull the lever a lot harder for the brakes to work. Increasing the size of the master cylinder in a hydraulic system gives you less movement at the lever/pedal, but you have to exert more force for the same braking effect. Decreasing the size of the master cylinder has the opposite effect, giving you more lever/pedal travel, and less force needed for the same braking. Of course if you make the master cylinder too small then you end up not pumping enough fluid, and the lever comes back to the bars.

could be as your man says there the bore of the cylinder or to much fluid!
both will have the same effect on the lever!

what MC on what bike?????

89 Zx10 mc on an 83 suxuki gs750t single disc. got from p&t breakers cork, told them it was for a single disc and he said it would be fine.

Im ok with it once it is safe on the road. what ye think?

I've master cyliners at home a Vmax and ZX12R if you what to try any of them

jaysis you have the first one of them to ever see full pressure!!!
it just might be ok Id say..
once the wheel spins free while brake is not applied ect..
