Default Opinions on a Ducati

Have a guy coming to look at the zx6r monday and wants to take it away with him if he likes it, which i cant see being a problem but have a thing for a ducati for years and while i can get one now i will

Torn by a lovely 01 748R in yellow or a 999/749. The 748 has the looks and the price is right plus its the R model with all the right bits but i heard the 749/999 is far nicer to ride. Any one ridden either?

And for some reason i'm taking a dirty guilty peak at mult1stradas (fuggin word filter!).....lol

I 'd be suprised if there was any significant difference between the comfort of a 748 and a 749

748R would be my choice of those you mention.Cant hack the looks of the 749/999 unless its in black which hides the lines

From my limited knowledge... That's not an R...

1. I dont think the R came in yellow (the 748 at least).

2. It doesn't have ohlins suspension.

3. Looks like a base model

4. Doesn't have R written anywhere on it

5. There's no homologation number plate on the top yoke, which all R's have (For example 001/500)

If I'm wrong I'm wrong but the dude looks like he's telling fibs! AT most it's a 748S which had showa suspension... Look up wikipedia and it runs through it!!

It's an S alright. Adjustable steering angle. Nice slipper clutch bonus.

Wouldn't turn me off it... Might just get you a few hundred quid off the price.

Cannot wait to become a Ducati owner!
