Nah, a couple of quid. Eliosha sells them - just cut the fuel line and stick the ends onto the filter so the juice flows through.

cleaned the carbs jets etc. It will keep driving at speed of 100 kmh but when doing 120 it cuts out again. Starting to think it might be ignition wise!!

I doubt it's ignition, it definitely sounds like fuel starvation. Either a blockage or the pump is fecked.

Agree - if it'll run at 100 and not at 120 its almost certainly fuel starvation. Particularly when it starts back up again immediately. Its like there is a check valve that the fuel pump isn't powerful enough to open fully and the carbs are being temporarily emptied. Have you checked battery voltage or changed anything with the electrics? You've proved the pump is flowing but they can run at reduced pressure and cause all sorts of shenanigans.

When it happened me i took everything appart and no luck until i rang a lad up north who told me about the filter inside the line,i think it was a little gauze.I know you said its not there ,but it sounds exactly like what happened me.The bike would go for much longer if you drove slow and when you speed up it would happen more quickly.

It's pissed because your profile still says you have a bandit. Suzukis Schmuzukis. My ducati hasn't given me a spot of bother yet. Granted, it's been parked since I bought it, but still

I have to take off at 5 tomorrow, but if you call out around 3 I can have a poke at it. In the worst case you can leave it at mine, I'll give you a lend of the CB500 for the weekend

Good man Sergio. That's a great service your offering. I'll drop the Thunderbird up it needs a new starter motor i think.

It's just an excuse to get him to call out to show me the new bike. Neither of us expect me to fix anything, really

At least you wont have to offer him tea when he arrives. He will have to stop at every petrol station on the way.
